Vietnam celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification in a record-breaking way.<\/p>\n

It was a major milestone for Vietnamese people, from marking victory in the war for independence to the rising aspiration of building a sustainable, globally integrated nation with a strong cultural identity.<\/p>\n

High in the sky above Ho Chi Minh City, 10,500 drones took flight on 30 April.

The show of lights was inspired by \u0110\u00f4ng S\u01a1n bronze drum \u2013 a timeless symbol of ancient Vietnamese civilization \u2013 and the image of the L\u1ea1c bird \u2013 a mythical emblem of aspiration and resilience.<\/p>\n

A show that symbolized Vietnam in the new era also made a mark in history, with a Guinness World Records title \u2013 the\u00a0most remote controlled multirotors\/drones airborne simultaneously<\/strong>.
\nCoordinating all 10,500 drones\u00a0to light up the sky is a true technical prowess. This is especially true in densely populated cities where command signals to drones could be disrupted; security measures must also be set in place to make sure spectators are safe.<\/p>\n

Weather also plays a significant role: light rain and strong winds have an adverse effect on the outcome of the show, and the team at Prowtech monitored the forecast and had back-up plans in place.<\/p>\n
